For both artists, the surface is not a passive support but a responsive territory. Sala approaches painting as a visual landscape, where color and form unfold through overlapping gestures that accumulate time and thought. Dema, meanwhile, treats the textile as a living collaborator, a body that breathes and responds, where each layer becomes an act of care and connection.
Their gestures hold memory. In Sala, the hand traces time itself, capturing moments that blur within the slow unfolding of paint. In Dema, the gesture becomes touch itself, tender, suspended, intimate. Both practices reveal matter as a site of resonance, where the visible and the invisible coexist.
Recurring motifs such as hands, birds, or the breath between one movement and another speak of offering and freedom, of what connects and what transforms. There is, in both, a quiet spirituality that invites contemplation, an attention to what cannot be seen but can be felt.
Zonas de contacte, proposes this shared space between figuration and abstraction, matter and touch, as a territory of encounter. A threshold where matter listens, presence softens, and art becomes a form of tenderness.
